This is a rare and sturdy gold bangle from Birmingham England, made in the second half of the 19th century. It is engraved with a lovely floral scroll design on half the oval and smooth on the back. Henry Griffith & Sons made very bracelets with more gold than most gold filled bangles. They are not inclined to dent because of the solid metal core. This bracelet is 7/16 inches wide and 2 3/8 inches in interior oval diameter. Great Condition. Makers Marks: H, G & S 9CT Metal Core. 23.75 Grams
