This is a beautiful Rolled Gold Pocket watch on a rare faceted onyx chain. The watch is monogramed “LB” on the front and etched beautifully on the reverse as well. It opens to reveal a clock face on one side and the inner workings on the back.. Just as striking is the 27.25 inch long chain made of onyx bars faceted with six sides. Both pocket watch and chain are in brilliant condition for over 100 years old, though the watch no longer keeps time. Rolled gold is a predecessor to Gold filled and contains about 100 times the amount of pure gold as gold plated jewelry.
